The Key of Fates (abbreviated as KoF) was the first sitewide canonical story campaign on the original RoLaS role-playing forum. Though it is indeed considered canon, the forum-based nature of it inevitably meant that a wide variety of disparate writing styles, combined with the necessity of shifting the location of various threads of the story within the framework of the forum, make for a very difficult read for those wishing to learn more of the fascinating history of the Realms of Light and Shadow.

Project KoF is a corroborative effort on the part of the administrators of both the former RoLaS role-playing forum and its current incarnation to bring together the overarching story and key characters within the original plot and unify them within an official piece of Realms literature; a novel currently and tentatively titled The Key of Fates.
